100% organic stone baked hand crafted artisan bread and confectionery from the famous Quinney's bakery at Hurn - Dorset.




100% Organic Rye Bread
Rye – 100% organic Rye Flour (no Wheat Flour) typically denser than bread made from wheat flour – it’s higher in fibre and has a strong vibrant flavour. We use a organic sour dough starter for our Rye bread and the bread is stone-baked.

Confectionery
Hurn Sour Dough 100% Organic
Sour dough – now becoming popular – it has a tangy taste, due to the acids produced during the fermentation process.The organic traditional starter we use is just over twenty years old

Speciality Breads 100% Organic
Quinney's organic fruit loaf, which is now very, very popular as a breakfast bread. It is a 'Sour Dough' with apple, sultana and cinnamon. It’s just out of this world!!!
Spelt (Dinkel) 100% Organic
Spelt – sometimes used as an alternative grain for sufferers of wheat intolerance and mild gluten intolerance – an old fashioned bread coming back in vogue, due to its low gluten and long shelf life. It fell out of favour when other wheats were developed with a higher gluten and higher yield for the farmers etc.

Traditional Old English
Traditional Old English 100% organic,a full-bodied strong bread that is what our great grand parents enjoyed and is now coming back. We call it the Old English weekend loaf because it has a short shelf life of a couple of days. Its first stage of fermentation is about 18 hours: one of the reasons why commercially it fell out of favour, but the flavour is fantastic.
